The AMBAR program focuses on empowering unskilled girls and women who have either dropped out of formal schooling or just not had the opportunity to educate themselves due to economic or social vulnerabilities.
The program aids women become self-sufficient and self reliant by training them in easily accessible vocations, other essential life-skills, capacity building and post training entrepreneurial support.

India is faced with the dual challenge of poor functional literacy and a lack of skilled, trained labour. A paucity of developmental opportunities for rural India and its women, further excludes a large section of the population from participating in the formal economy.
SOACH focuses on empowering unskilled girls and women who have either dropped out of formal schooling or just not had the opportunity to educate themselves due to economic or social vulnerabilities become self-sufficient and self reliant.
By training them in easily accessible
vocations, relevant life-skills and community entrepreneurship, SOACH seeks to actively involve them in leading, shaping and taking responsibility for their own growth and development.
SOACH places a strong emphasis on achieving creative & qualitative skills that strive for environmentally sustainable and culturally relevant outcomes.
Creativity, develops in people the wider ability to question, make connections, innovate, problem solve and reflect critically – skills that are central to all qualitative endeavours. It helps them to engage with their environment, seek knowledge and achieve.
Here a group was asked to develop motifs and patterns from things in their day to day life, using the skills they had learnt thus far. These canvases full of nature’s bounty are vivid with freshness and delightfully innovative in the techniques used!
